Simple recipes to get the sweetest cup, no fuss.

V60 (one to two cups)

15 g coffee · 250 g water · medium fine · water at 94 °C · total time 2:45–3:00

  1. Rinse the filter with hot water and warm the dripper and mug. Tip out the rinse water.
  2. Add 15 g ground coffee and make a small well in the center.
  3. Start the timer. Bloom with 50 g water to wet all the grounds. Swirl gently. Wait 45 s.
  4. Pour 100 g in slow circles to reach 150 g.
  5. Pour the last 100 g to reach 250 g. Give a tiny swirl.
  6. Let it drain. Aim to finish between 2:45–3:00.

Aeropress (inverted method)

16 g coffee · 220 g water · coarse · water at 92–95 °C · total time ≈2:00

  1. Set up Aeropress upside down. Rinse a paper filter in the cap and set aside.
  2. Add 16 g coarse ground coffee.
  3. Start timer. Pour 45 g water, then stir 5 times to wet everything.
  4. Pour to 220 g. Steep for 60 s.
  5. Screw on the cap, flip onto your mug, and press gently for 20–30 s.
  6. Stop at the hiss to avoid bitterness.

French Press

30 g coffee · 500 g water · coarse · water at 94 °C

Simple Recipe (easiest)
  1. Add 30 g coarse ground coffee.
  2. Pour 500 g water, stir once, lid on.
  3. After 4 min, press slowly and pour immediately.
Complex Recipe (more clarity)
  1. Warm press, add 30 g grounds, pour all 500 g water. Lid on, no plunge. Brew 4 min.
  2. At 4:00, remove lid, stir gently, skim foam/floats.
  3. Replace lid, press until it just meets the bed. Rest 1 min, then pour gently.
